GMC Terrain Customer Review

I was asked to test drive and review the new 2012 GMC Terrain, at  Young Buick GMCcar dealership in Layton, Utah. This crossover was amazing. The salesman at Young Buick GMC explained to me that the Terrain is a Flex-Fuel vehicle, which means it gets great gas millage. I was completely shocked when I noticed that the Terrain was getting 26 to 30 miles to the gallon on the highway, which Young Buick GMC has proudly posted on the window sticker.

This car has a lot more going for it than just great gas millage. It is also one of the smoothest driving vehicle I have ever gone used. I drove it all around Layton, Utah and all the way down to Salt Lake City. When I mentioned this, the Young Buick GMC salesman explained that it is because of the suspension and weight distribution that makes the road feel bump free. The audio system in the Terrain was also much better than I expected in a stock vehicle, and comes with SiriusXM Sattelite Radio which has all of my favorite stations.
Handling on a vehicle this size is usually terrible and that is what I was expecting when it came time for me to make a u-turn. The Terrain Handles like a dream, making turns and parking was no problem. Even in the Young Buick GMC parking lot surrounded by hundreds of new cars, I felt comfortable backing into a space right in the middle of everything.
The Terrain is a truly gorgeous SUV the lines on the outside are sharp and extremely appealing. The inside of the car is wonderful. Being a person well over 6 feet in height it is not often that I still have room to move my seat back.  But in the Terrain I had lots of room and was very comfortable.  Driving around in the Terrain was a dream and the interior seemed more like a luxury vehicle as well.
Over all I would rate the entire experience a 10. The Terrain was amazing, Young Buick GMC was extremely nice and the associates are more than helpful.  I definitely recommend you test out the new Terrain and head over to Young Buick GMC to try one.

GM posts a 13.2% U.S. Sales Gain in 2011!

General Motors posts a 13.2% U.S. sales gain in 2011, including an uptick in December deliveries of 4.6%, closing the book on year where the restructured auto maker witnessed its first annual market-share gain in a decade. GM sold 2.5 million cars and trucks in 2011, up from 2.2 million units in 2010, according to WardsAuto data. December deliveries totaled 234,351, compared with 224,147 in like-2010. GM estimates, before all auto makers have finished reporting December results, that its share of the U.S. market grew 0.5% to about 19.3% in 2011. The company last reported a year-to-year share gain in 2002. “You can see clearly that our balanced portfolio of fuel-efficient cars, trucks and crossovers helped us make the most of the U.S. economy’s slow but steady recovery,” says Don Johnson, GM’s chief sales analyst. “And we’re very well-positioned to compete in a market that we expect to keep growing in 2012,” Johnson tells journalists and Wall Street analysts during a conference call to discuss the auto maker’s December and year-end sales results. GM forecasts industry sales in 2012 of between 13.5 million and 14.0 million light vehicles, up from an estimated 12.8 million in 2010. Johnson predicts pent-up demand, which built as consumers held off purchases during the recession, will continue to drive sales. An economy that adds more jobs in 2012 would provide upside to the auto maker’s forecast, he says.
